Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • Teaching certification or license in the appropriate subject and grade level
  • Strong subject matter expertise and familiarity with relevant teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and abilities
  • Proficiency in using technology in the classroom
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in education
  • Adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the curriculum and school standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student learning and wellbeing
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues, keeping them informed of student progress and any concerns
  • Participate in school-wide activities and events, including professional development and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
